Slytherin!
15 year old Snape leaves Hogwarts to raise Lily's baby Harry. At the same time, he struggles with Lily's lack of affection, Dumbledore's apathy and Death Eaters. When he finds the truth behind Lily's well kept lies, he risks losing Harry forever.

- OMG!! Attack, that was so sad!! Oh my gosh! I feel terrible for Eileen! Having to watch her son become unhappy because of people at school (his grandfather) and having to watch Lily and James grow up, knowing that those were her child's grandparents, and thinking of Harry! And all her disappointments with Sev because his life was so miserable. And then the ending? Where she realizes, as if for the first time, that her son was going to have to DIE a hero! How terribly sad! I'd be crying now if I didn't have a strick 'no crying' rule for myself. Wonderful story! I loved every sad moment!!
Author's Response: I missed writing Eileen so much after ND that I wanted to give her a moment in the spotlight and show her feelings about the after effects of Harry's presence. The last line was the first line to be written, and all of a sudden, I felt like a real shit, and oh, I'm horrible to my characters, and Eileen never learned that he was going to live after all, and she's probably still waiting for him at the train station in the sky. Hmm, maybe I'll drabble that. Technically, this is the strongest story in the ND universe, and I'm just a bit proud.
Harry wants more than anything to be more like his father. In an attempt to change himself something goes wrong and he ends up in the care of his hated Potions Master. Can they form the bond Harry has longed for his whole life?

Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all...

- I'm not sure if I reviewed this chapter, but here I go: Aww!!! Come on Sev, we all know you have a heart! Just show it once and a while! XD And poor Harry! He doesn't know what to feel or how to act with Snapers being all mean, but not so mean at the same time. And I'm liking Dumbles in this, even though I'm typically not a Dumbledore fan.
