About me:

Hello from good old Virginia! I am new to the Harry Potter fanfiction craze, despite liking the series for over two years now (yeah, I was a late bloomer in that sense).  I guess you could say that I like drama and the hurt and comfort fics best, though I read a lot of other genres as well. My favorite characters of "Harry Potter," are: Severus (duh), Hermoine, Harry, Remus and Luna. Ron is all right, but tends to annoy me.

 As stated, I'm from Virginia, and have a Southern twang...even for Virginia standards (I was at work and a customer asked me if I was from Tenessee or Georgia).

I have beta'ed several of other various genres and would gladly beta someone's within reasons.  Obviously, I would beta American English, but I am studying British English and am comfortable with it so maybe later.

Rather than allowing Harry to stay at Diagon Alley after he blew up Aunt Marge, the Ministry sends Harry back to the Dursleys.     Aww great chapter. Poor Harry. Poor Severus. Off Topic question: Was Poppy in Slytherin by chance? Because she can sure scheme to get her way.

    You know, the snake is the traditional symbol of the healer.  The Cadecaus(I don't remember how to spell it).a the two winged staff that is beringed by serpents is, even in the Muggle world, the symbol of healing.

    Aww this was a sweet chapter. I wonder if Harry's fuzzy memory is just because of the meds/being late night or if his botched hanging did that. I hope that you update soon.

    OH WOW! That was soooo sooo good! I absolutely LOVED this chapter!

    Odd as it sounds, I can see Hagrid being a good one to supervise-he's childlike in many ways and probably for most (not all!) students, easier to not be embarrassed by.

    Oh awesome, Lupin found the "dog!"
    hehe...and the dog is going to visit. Ha for everyone's sake Snuffles better stay in doggie form!

    I'm glad that you didn't do what a lot of authors seem to do-heal his physical injuries and *poof* no more issues! I like how you have him starting to heal physically but still being emotionally vulnerable.

    I sort of understand Severus in this chapter-about the suicide watch. Right after the VA Tech massacre, (I live in VA) a girl at my college who knew three people who died-one being her BEST friend-was put on suicide watch. It's a good thing too-because she attempted it. Sadly I also know someone who succeeded. ANYWAYS......

    Yeah, I love Hagrid.

     

    The suicide watch rules come right out of hospital manuals.  It really does only take a second.  Fortunately, suicidal impulses tend to be short lived, so 72 hour watches are common.

    I don't like to skip over the real physical consequences of things.

    Good job Morgana! I really enjoyed the defense class and Harry learning Expelliamus. Great job. :-D Just a question-why is Snape still teaching potions in one scene? I love your writing style! :-)

    Author's Response: Thanks for the review and the kind compliments. In answer to your question, Snape's still teaching potions because Miss Hardbroom's not arrived yet and, as it's only the first week of term, teaching both Potions and Duelling seminars for a week doesn't overstretch him too much.
