As far as Harry knew, it was all some sort of experiment that only Dumbledore could understand. He had no idea that the cat he had been given to keep him company instead of Hedwig over the holidays before his 3rd year, was in fact, his hated Potions Master in disguise.
Because of the Azkaban escapee, Sirius Black, Severus is sent to stay with Harry during the entire summer, never making a sound nor leaving the boy's side. He could not speak, nor could he defend Harry against anyone other than the criminal on the loose, however Severus does something that no other adult in Harry's life had done before...he listened.

- Loved Sev grabbing the scissors! I'm wondering if there will be a disaster with the guests, similar to the Dobby incident in canon, and if so, what will Sev witness. How will he react? :-)
Harry and Snape switch bodies temporarily, thanks to Neville adding too much wormwood to what was supposed to be a potion to make the drinker become smarter.

- This is a terrific portrait of a toddler! I had to laugh about being nicknamed "Stinky", coz a guy in my class in high school had that nickname (he refused to respond to it), and I had to wonder HOW and WHEN he got the name. (I'd moved to that school when I was 14, so I missed out on the guy's backstory.) But Sev is right-- once you get labeled, you're stuck with it! // You have dealt with so many topics in this one story, it seems you already have a LOT of ideas you could develop into future chapters, or even other one-shots in your universe. The sky's the limit! Have fun flying!!!

Wow, thank you so much for the positive feedback, you have no idea how much I appreciate it! (well you probably do :D) Did you ever find out about the rest of his story? I know what you mean though, about getting stuck with it. One of the girls in my school always smelled like overcooked burritos (no offense to anyone because I love 'em really, but overcooked ones don't smell that great) and she was always teased. It was really sad and I wish people would'nt be so cruel .The good thing is that she moved so maybe she'll get a fresh start?

- Ah ha! So it was Snape who actually hit Harry without meaning to! At least he was able to fix him up-- eventually! I'm admitting a fascination with the book (Defense At Its Darkest), wondering if that will play into the future plot somehow. As for a DADA teacher: one quirk would be someone who WASN'T trying to kill Harry for once! Hee! Maybe also someone who didn't care for the Malfoy name and took pains to let Draco know when he pulls a "My father will hear about this..."

- Wow! I read the first three chaps straight through, and I'm really eager to see where you take this story! And boy, does Snape exactly how to push Harry's buttons! This is an intriguing twist on the usual Detention-With-Snape storyline. I'll look forward to seeing in which direction their relationship develops. Terrific start!!!
