So, the basics I guess are that I'm a girl from Aus (born 1990) and my name is Emily. I love writing and reading, and fanfics are an obsession of mine.

Severus Tobias Snape is the most complex and fascinating character I have ever come across, as is his relationship with Harry. I cannot get enough of reading fics about the two of them, or just Snape on his own. Bless his dirty socks :)

    I usually prefer fics that stick to canon as much as possible, but this was brilliant! Getting rid of Umbridge was just an added bonus to the grudging and still snarky acceptance between Harry and Snape. Well done :)

    It makes sense--I wanted Harry and Snape to feel hopeful at the end about their relationship, even though other things didn't work out too well for them in the past.  I actually wrote the story to fit the lyrics, instead of choosing a song to fit the story.  I really wanted to make the song into a songfic and so for that reason, the words go well with the story.  Thanks for reading!

    GAHH!! How could people have missed the significance before?! You're an absolute genius. And I absolutely ruddy well loved this. Characterisations were perfect, and I love the last line; it gives a real sense that THEIR story is not over, just because this fic is. I hope that makes sense... I'm a bit hyper at the moment :)
    Are you planning on a sequel? It'd be fascinating to see their interaction when Harry returns to Hogwarts. I'm sure he has loads of questions to ask Severus.

We all saw what she HOPED we'd see, so we wouldn't focus on her other hand! It's THERE-- if we look away from the OBVIOUS! /// As for my being a "genius"-- well, my OTHER brilliant idea from HBP was that in DH we'd find out Lupin was an unmarked Death Eater! I wasn't sure how my attempt at humor would come across; I feel more comfortable writing dramatic stuff than comedy, but it seems to have worked out! THANKS for letting me know! I love your concept regarding ending stories with an Obliviate-- I just thought Snape wouldn't trust Harry enough to keep his personal life secret!
