Final Note 6 - June 2018:

Although it has already been a long time since I have posted or updated anything, it is time to make it official.

I will no longer be writing fanfiction.

I haven't come to this decision because I have run out of ideas or inspiration for my current works - to the contrary, I have put a lot of thought and planning into each of them. Even now, the moments and scenes I had planned live happily in my head. The issue becomes the fact that I have limited free time, so I must choose how to spend it. This is why there have so often been extremely long breaks between updates. In turn, this becomes unfair to readers, as I know that they often have limited free time as well and it is very easy to forget the plot of a story that wasn't born within your own head (and sometimes even then!).

Now, I know many of you would continue to wait for updates. We lovers of fanfiction are tenacious that way. However, since my free time is limited, I have decided that my focus needs to be on my original works.

In that spirit, though a part of me is saddened, I hereby abandon all my current works-in-progress. I will not be updating them again. However, I also open my stories up for adoption, should anyone be interested in continuing them in my stead. (Though, to be clear, I don't honestly think anyone would, but) I ask only that I be credited and that no large portions of my work, incomplete or no, be copied by another (so please link/direct readers back to my work if you continue it).

I've had such a great time in this fandom. Thanks to all who've helped keep the magic alive!

    Ah, poor Harry! It's good to see Snape resolving to help the boy. I would like to see some more, sometime, and see their relationship grow through the course of Snape teaching Harry how to work through his limitations and Harry learning to trust.

    This has been a thoroughly enjoyable read. I found myself completely drawn into the tale from the beginning. In fact, I had meant to stop and leave a few reviews throughout, but I was so eager to read what came next that it simply didn't happen. Thanks for sharing such an enjoyable tale!

    That being said, I would absolutely love to see more at some point. I want to see more Snape and Harry and Weasley bonding, and how the changes of the summer go on to affect the coming school year and beyond. So, if you are considering a sequel, ever, you definitely have my interest!

    Either way, this story is wonderful as it is, and I rather adore how you have crafted a common sickness into a magical rite of passage. Bravo.

I'm glad it captured you :-) I have a rather precise idea of what I would like to do for a sequel - I'll just have to see when I will have time to start the actual writing...     OMG, little Harry is so freaking adorable. I love seeing him thriving in this story. His artwork, though, and Snape's assessment of it had me giggling. Great start! I really like it.

    Poor little Harry. I am so glad somebody did something, though! It always frustrated me so much that the abuse he endured in canon when unnoticed by so many. Granted, the abuse was probably a bit less severe, canonically - neglect and verbal/emotion, primarily - but it was still there, still abuse. Ah, but people tend to be willfully blind, especially if they feel something is not their business.

    Awwww. Poor Sev. I don't like spiders, either. I'm glad that Joseph was able to figure out what happened and straighten everybody out on the details, though. I want Severus to be a part of little Harry's life - it could be so cute, if only he'd give himself a chance to like the kid.

    I do like your take on this challenge. The way you portrayed Tobias' manipulation of Harry and how the Stockholm's set in seemed rather well depicted to me. The ending did feel a bit rushed, perhaps, but I understand why you elected to wrap it up in such a way.

    All in all, well done. An enjoyable read!
