I can't tell you how happy I am you updated this. It's nice to see them both getting what they thought they'd never have. Argh. Update soon. I need to know how Snape's gonna rid himself of the idea that he doesn't belong. And I'm eager to know who will break first, Harry or Snape. I'm putting bets on Snape though. :):) Update update update!!

- Oh my god. Please tell me you're going to put this on the top of your update list. Please please please. I need more, especially when i'm depressed as hell, what with my sem finals comin up.
Severus had me going 'aw' the whole way through. I could literally feel the pain and longing radiating off him. (And the longing for more radiating off me) And the quill scene... If you're aiming to kill me with all those sweet-gruff-I'm-not-showing-my-emotions Sev moments, yes, you succeeded.
I love the last sentence. It makes me yearn for more, especially now they're both left alone. And it makes me so so so sad to see Sev yearning for so much and yet, couldn't do a thing about that insecurity of his.
Awesome awesome writing. Please, update soon? I'll give you a tropical quill? :)
Author's Response: Haha, actually, it's is. I don't why why, but inspiration and ideas are just flowing for this fic. I have to work on my prompt fic, but than I'll be right back to writing more and sending chapters off to my beta once she's had a break from her own RL stress :P

Lily has survived the attack that Halloween night and Severus sees this as his opportunity to make things right with her. He would worry about the Potter brat later. If only it were that simple . . .

- Oh my god. I can't tell you enough how much I love this version of Harry and Snape. I've been reading on my phone these past few days (your last few chapters) so I'm really really sorry about not leaving a review.
I like how Lily lived and eventually married Severus. I still wanna know how exactly did Sevvy got Lily to marry him, 'cause i was under the impression that Lily was quite angry with Severus.
And poor Harry. All those little snippets of happy memories of father/son interaction that you scattered here and there is making me want more. Please do write more of those.
And I'm liking Severus more and more now. :)
p.s. you evil little thing. That cliffie is downright EVIL. Update soon! PLEASE!!! (I said please *puppy eyes*) =)

Not going to lie, James and Severus is my favourite part of this story. Sev's second journey was initially only going to be one or two chapters, but I totally just ran with it and had so much fun crafting this whole other world. I'm glad you like it. I know some people really want the Severus to go back to reality, so it's good to hear.

I hate how you manage to make me cry with just a few artful words. I hate that you play with my emotions so easily. I hate that you write such awesomeness which drives me absolutely crazy.
That being said, I love you so much and I would very much like the epilogue.
Any chance you're throwing in a sequel as well? *pleasepleasepleasePRETTYplease?*
It kills me that Severus had to go back, after so much love and kindness and stability with James and Lily. And it kills me to see the comparison of the two Harrys. :(

- Even though I know James probably isn't going to die (I wasn't 100% sure though!) you still had me gripping my bedsheets in terror. :(
It was a really really powerful scene. Severus coming to realise the depth of his dependence and affection and love towards James. The scene with the kids was heartbreaking too. :(
I really really love this story. I hope it doesn't have to end. :)

- No! Not the cloak! I'm hopelessly addicted to this by the way; a really well written fic. I especially appreciate the studious side of Harry; in the book he had seemed like this mediocre student who gets by on talent and luck without significant effort. Lovely!

Thank you for the review and thank you for enjoying the story! As you can see, the setting in this story is mostly cannon, so when I started to fantasise how a reconciliation between Snape and Harry would realistically take place, I thought that making Harry more studious was an important requisite, because that was in my mind a way for Snape and Harry to find common ground and a way for Snape to - finally - start respecting Harry. I also thought that it would make sense that getting rid of Voldemort’s horcrux would affect Harry in some way - not his true personality, no, but in this case his ability to concentrate. Then I also think that in real life people often change a lot in their late teens - the childhood tastes and choices mature and an irresponsible youth might suddenly become studious… Thanks for appreciating :-)
Severus Snape is well aware that Harry Potter is his son, just as he is aware of the kind of care he receives at the Dursleys. He is also quite certain that the boy is far better off without him. Most of the time.
Now, if only he could convince Harry.

- Finally! I've been waiting AGES for Severus to stop making the easy choice. Harry is so adorable and so vulnerable I want to cuddle him and never let him go. However does Snape hold back for so long? Amazing job (as always) and I look forward for the next update! Can't wait!
