    I'm not sure if I've read (and reviewed) this before, over a ff.net, perhaps - but nevertheless I found it enjoyable. A lovely little 'what if' piece. Would have made things a little nicer, and possibly forshadowed a much more tolerable ending for our dark hero. Good job!

    Nice story - lovely to see Harry finally get the care he so desperately needed (that was disgusting behaviour on Petunia's part) and nice to see Severus give in to himself and indulge in the pleasant feelings of helping someone in need. Even if it was Potter's brat. ;)
    As a Mum one thing in particular bothered me - Severus gave him juice instead of water when Harry was suffering, or close to suffering, heatstroke. For reality sake, he should have given him water... and then juice if he still felt he should have the calories and minerals etc. Sorry for the parenting lesson lol - I couldn't help myself.
    The only other thing that bothered me, any three year old I have had - and I am a mother of five - has been able to take off their own nappy. In fact could do so by at least about 18 months if not earlier - seems odd that Harry hadn't worked this out for himself - especially with 'accidental magic' at his disposal...
    Other than those minor, mostly ridiculous quibbles - fantastic job - very enjoyable. Thanks so much for sahring it.

It was a dark and busy night and not quite curfew. Harry had decided on a moment of peace as Halloween approaches and ventured to the library for some reading. He sees the odd sight of Snape sitting at a table and is determined to just ignore the man. However he's sitting right where Harry had wanted to sit and the teenager wasn't going to let this stop him. And so, the sixth year Gryffindor sat across from his hated Slytherin teacher. Simply put, things do not go as expected.

    I have just read your reviews and believe them to be overly harsh and aggressive.
    This is not a bad effort, especially for a first fic. I don't feel the characters, given the amount of background we have so far received, to be OOC. They just seem like two men who have been through a lot, tried to escape their former worlds and then inadvertantly were shocked to discover they'd been thrown back together. As for Hermione and Ron, to be honest I actually agree with some reviewers that I don't think they'd betray Harry - however, I actually got a strong sense that this is actually not what they did, I felt that it was more likely that Harry misheard what they were saying, and bolted before confronting them - so in fact they might not have been planning anything so sinister at all. Silly Harry!!!!! Just my thoughts on how it all played out. It's all about interpretation.
    Loved the shirts - that had me giggling - I can so see Snape doing this in an attempt to distract himself from his misery and past.
    You CAN, and SHOULD write whatever takes your fancy, taking on board whichever constraints you want, and dismissing whichever you want also - that's your business. If readers don't like the direction, then, only if they feel the need, politely say they don't like the direction, and don't return. Not every premise will take one's fancy - and that's fine. But they should never presume to know and tell you what other readers will like/believe. If they do, ignore them, especially if they do so on an unsigned review. That to me indicates they believe it okay to insult people and their work if they can't be 'seen'. It is never acceptable.
    Constructive crit is welcome, but aggressive condemnation is not.
    Anyway - your story is fine, I hope you will continue, practice writing and fulfil your fantasies - that's what this is all about.
