Harry Potter is located in London in the dead of night. How exactly did he end up there, and what has he been doing? Well, any kid with half a brain knows not to talk to strangers.

This is such a good story. Trust is growing slowly and in steps. Great to see that happening. Interesting question, how did they die.

Also find interesting is that Albus assumes he knows these thing.

I really liked Harry thinking about what a normal family should be and the contrast with his reaction to the dark closet. This is the thing I don't think the original author understood about abused children, how long the recovery is if there ever is one.

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm not quite sure what you mean, in that the author doesn't understand abused children. In what sense does that show in my writing? I appreciate constructive criticism, and if something is unrealistic, I'd work on it, but you weren't all that clear in your criticism. Would you mind expounding upon your comment?

Sorry, I did not write that well. JK is the one who does not understand abused and unloved children and their behavior.l Sure it makes a nice story, but there are consequences. Your title is a perfect example of what that child does not have.

You are doing a great job and this is a fantastic story.

Author's Response: Hello again. Sorry about that, it did occur to me later on that I may have misunderstood. *laughs awkwardly*. I feel a bit stupid now, though I do take crtiticism seriously, so don't hesitate in that regard. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know that misunderstood. Yeah, I do agree with you; it is unrealistic that canon Harry was able to form attatchments so easily after a loveless childhood, though, I think it was more due to the fact that j.k. didn't want to focus on that. And since the books are geared towards children, the average ten year old isn't going to read it and think 'Harry's actions are highly unrealistic'. But now, as a adult, it makes it harder to read the books when all I want to do is give Harry a hug, send the Dursleys to Azkaban, and throw Dumbledore out the window (he really does have some nerve, giving one measley apology in the fifth). I suppose we have fanfic to vent our fustrations.

Interesting study about Harry who feeLs there is no other way out. Great job with Jade. Love the use of fire and water.

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I reallly appreciate you pointing out what you liked most. It wasn't easy to portray Harry's emotions in this chapter, so your feedback is very encouraging.

This is a super-quickie sequel to my 200+ word drabble, “Happy Meal”. I would strongly urge you to click on Happy Meal before reading Bitter Pill; otherwise, you’ll have NO idea what the heck is going on! This story begins right where Happy Meal left off, in the aftermath of my alternate Whomping Willow scene near the end of Harry’s Third Year, as Snape unexpectedly joins forces with the Gryffindors to orchestrate Wormtail’s “escape”.

    Lovely job.

Author's Response: Thanks! I didn't know how well this story would go over with my audience, but I decided to write it and hope for the best! I'm the first to admit that it's pretty bizarre, but I'm glad you took it in the spirit in which I wrote it! Thanks for reading and reviewing! :-)

On Halloween, Harry embarks upon a bizarre quest in order to escape an impossible detention in the Potions Dungeon. Written for Halloween 2014.

That story was hilarious. Alan Rickman played a wonderful sherriff. I wondered how you were going to throw in the best line, and it worked well.

Author's Response: Many thanks! I didn't used to have a lot of confidence about my ability to write "humor", but I think I've made progress, if your review is anything to go by! But I still have to wonder what you think the "best line" is! Out of 17, that is! Thanks for the great review! Much appreciated! :-)
