- I believe you have the makings of an excellent story here. Having read the chapters posted I'm concerned that there is no depth to the plot. I'm not sure if you are relying on canon or using an Alternate Universe. There is no reason in your story why Snape would be hostile to Harry. Is the reason canon & James Potter was a bully to Severus? I'm impressed that you have found the voice of a 4yr old in your story. Looking forward to reading further updates.
During Harry's first occlumency lesson, Professor Snape sees a bit more than he had planned. Quite a few discoveries are made, and he realizes that he doesn't really know Potter at all.

Severus Snape just wanted to enjoy a brief respite over the Christmas Holidays away from students...maybe catch up on his potions journals or lose himself in brewing, but Petunia Dursley showed up on his doorstep with a cat and that all changed.

- Definitely got the mood of the story in your writing. Certainly wonder how Dumbledore will react when he is informed of Harry's abusive history by the hands of the family who he left him on the doorstep of.

Well, chapter 2 is up and now I can safely answer this: not happily. I briefly considered doing the classic Evil Dumbles where he believes that suffering will give one character and create a hero out of a child, but it made more sense for him, as leader of the light and headmaster of a school, to react with anger and horror instead to the news of a child under their care being abused.
When Hagrid takes Harry to his vault for the first time, he finds a letter from his mum in his vault, which contains secrets which shape all his future years at Hogwarts (and potentially cause major problems). Warning: severe James Potter bashing.

Instead, he finds himself stepping off the Hogwarts Express at Kings Cross Station at the beginning of the Christmas hols. His parents greet him with hugs and Harry is drawn into a loving Christmas holiday at Godric's Hollow.
They have been dead for years but now they are alive-- and it's the best thing that has ever happened to Harry.

Severus is in big trouble. He doesn't have any kids, but he's supposed to be bringing his son to Christmas to meet his family, who he's been estranged from for twelve or thirteen (or more) years. Harry ends up being that pretend son. Challenge by JAWorley.

- Reading your first chapter, the plot has all the makings of a one person watching a train knowing its going to crash and unable to look away. Did so like the 'somewhat' anxious Snape fretting on how to produce the mysterious scion.
