My name is Laura. I'm a fultime college student and I work part time at a doctors office. I started reading the Harry Potter series a couple of years ago (long after it had become popular). Originally, I wasn't going to be dragged into a fad... but then the book was just sitting on the footstood and I was really quite bored. Five books later I was attached (the sixth has since come out, I'm not so sure about that one). My friend Nefla kept sending me links to a fanfic she called AYLNO. I didn't know what that was all about, and kept shrugging her off. It wasn't until she came over and started reading the fic to me, that I finally started reading AYLNO (A Year Like None Other). The story was really quite long (completed now, by Aspen in the Sunlight, go read it if you haven't) and I spent every waking moment finishing the story.. Once I was done, I felt really quite sad, I wanted more...

So I started writing my own story. Harry Potter and the Ferratilis Potion. I'm trying to be creative with it, although it mirrors AYLNO in many ways. It's a Snape adopts Harry fic, (and a Draco will be in there somewhere). My friend Nefla pesteres me daily to write, so I suppose there'd be no fic without her influence. Along the way, I picked up an awesome beta, Sunsethill. She keeps my grammer in tact and my story flowing.

I've also gotten quite interested in kidfics, I find little Harry very cute. I briefly deaged Harry (to a young age) in HP and the F. Potion, but I wanted to do more. So I've just started my second story, A Potions Accident, is going to be a cute little kidfic. All of you who read my first story, never fear, I won't abandon it. This second story is more of my "just for fun" story. Not that both aren't fun... but A Potions Accident will be a lot less formal. I won't worry about technicalities and the plot may be a bit random. Just a bunch of cute little kids...

I also wrote a one-shot, Braving Spiders which was my first challenge response... it's an Sevitus.

Ah, and my pet (coming soon as Jan says) is named Petrie. (And he is very cute, trust me...)

    Wow I love your story. I hope you're still working on it. (I see you haven't updated in awhile). So now for a worthy review... For starters, I loved how Snape got sick on the airplane! In fact, I like how you portray Snape in the whole story. His driving skills, like an old woman lol! I like your original character a lot, especially how she stands up to Snape and is so nice. Oh and then the visit, the goat rebellion... I laughed hysterically! Also, I really enjoyed the 'family' dynamic. I look forward to an update, I noticed you have lots of plans for the story and I'd really like to read the rest...

    That was great! So cute and funny, I loved it. I'm glad you're still updating your story. This is the first story that takes place in muggle land that I actually like. I love Snape's irratation at everything. I can't wait till you write more!

    That's great! Poor Harry, that would be so embarrassing... I think it's cute that Snape called him Harry in the end. Seems like Harry is getting to him.

    This chapter is so cute. Harry is slipping deeper into his little self while Snape is becoming more of a "daddy" figure. It's really a subtle change, hidden away in your story. So it doesn't seem ooc or anything. Your Snape is still Snape... trying to get Harry to gather daisies, lol. Oh an Hoppity is sweet, taking care of Harry. But she doesn't gush over him either. I think that's a really strong part of your story. All your characters are adjusting to fill their rolls, but you can still true selves. Am I making any sense? It's late... 

    So, I hope you're feeling all super inspired to write now. And that you start to pop out lots and lots of chapters! Your kidfic is really one of my favorite stories. I can't wait to read more. Thanks for the great update.

    ^_^ I love the ending! It's great that you pulled out all of Harry's favorite toys and whatnot. (I forgot the gooey lizards, I want one). It's cute how Harry played in his little cave... all quiet. Shows that he's still afraid of losing his things (seeing as Snape has taken his toys in the past), but he's still brave enough to play and have fun. It was a really cute ending to the chapter. And the whole chapter was great! I'm glad that you updated, I can't wait to read the next chapter (yes I and others will always want more). Keep writing and don't let the internet bugs get you down.

    Yay! an update! This made me soooo happy. It was really cute and poor wittle Harry getting forgotten. I like how he's getting better at the occlumency, and that Snape is giving him semi-compliments. Oh, and it's great how you balance Harry's littleness with his oldness too (if that makes sense). The chapter seemed really short though and I want more T_T... Of course, no matter how long your chapters are I always want more. So yeah... updatey time!
