My name is Laura. I'm a fultime college student and I work part time at a doctors office. I started reading the Harry Potter series a couple of years ago (long after it had become popular). Originally, I wasn't going to be dragged into a fad... but then the book was just sitting on the footstood and I was really quite bored. Five books later I was attached (the sixth has since come out, I'm not so sure about that one). My friend Nefla kept sending me links to a fanfic she called AYLNO. I didn't know what that was all about, and kept shrugging her off. It wasn't until she came over and started reading the fic to me, that I finally started reading AYLNO (A Year Like None Other). The story was really quite long (completed now, by Aspen in the Sunlight, go read it if you haven't) and I spent every waking moment finishing the story.. Once I was done, I felt really quite sad, I wanted more...

So I started writing my own story. Harry Potter and the Ferratilis Potion. I'm trying to be creative with it, although it mirrors AYLNO in many ways. It's a Snape adopts Harry fic, (and a Draco will be in there somewhere). My friend Nefla pesteres me daily to write, so I suppose there'd be no fic without her influence. Along the way, I picked up an awesome beta, Sunsethill. She keeps my grammer in tact and my story flowing.

I've also gotten quite interested in kidfics, I find little Harry very cute. I briefly deaged Harry (to a young age) in HP and the F. Potion, but I wanted to do more. So I've just started my second story, A Potions Accident, is going to be a cute little kidfic. All of you who read my first story, never fear, I won't abandon it. This second story is more of my "just for fun" story. Not that both aren't fun... but A Potions Accident will be a lot less formal. I won't worry about technicalities and the plot may be a bit random. Just a bunch of cute little kids...

I also wrote a one-shot, Braving Spiders which was my first challenge response... it's an Sevitus.

Ah, and my pet (coming soon as Jan says) is named Petrie. (And he is very cute, trust me...)

    Wow, this seems like a cruel cliffhanger! Lol. I don't recall when I first started reading your story, but I think it was after this!

    I'm glad that you had them all take some precautions, but really this was a foolish thing for Harry to do. But alas, this is exactly a thing that Harry would do.

    I liked Malfoy in this chapter. It's a good reminder that he's still a child. Like earlier on you have him all confident and now he's a cute frightened little thing.

    If I recall correctly, your first review on ff.net had to be after the first posting of 32 or 33... I could be wrong, though.

    Well, in Harry\'s defense, if he listened to what everyone said all the time, he really would be little more than a puppet. Still, I agree- foolish! Especially after Snape told him specifically not to... the little cretin, I tell you.

    Malfoy is an interesting character. Not my favorite of the lot, but definitely interesting... he\'s not as flat as everyone used to suspect he was.

    It's sooo sad what happened to Ginny. Of everyone to get hurt... T_T I'm glad that Draco went to get help from Dumbledore. And I'm also glad that you had him act on what Draco said, even before Ginny and Harry's notes arrived. To bad Lucius got away! They always get away!

    I just read your story and I really like it. I love the Snape/Harry relationship, especially all the cheeky comments. I really hope that you're still updating your story and that you plan to do so soon. You've left us at quite an interesting moment! I hope that they'll all see how much Harry needs Snape and will let them stay together.

    Wow this is a great new chapter. Four year old Harry is really funny! I like how you added in Snape's realization of how he threw out Dumbledore- and felt guilty for it. Are you going to include a little 'chat' between the two of them? Anyway, great chapter, I look forward to an update.

    Why do you have to leave us like that?? GRRrrr well hopefully you update soon. I really enjoyed the chapter. A super strict Snape is really funny. It's sad though, that he's threatening to give Harry back to his relatives if he does something wrong.

    Poor Draco... even though he did deserve to "get it." I'm glad that Draco and Harry seem to be getting on better. Oh and Harry's bleeding, that was so sureal it was cool. I like how you're showing that Snape really does care about Harry, especial over his concerns in this plant incident. And the end of the chapter was sweet. Snape's last line- I hope it meant more than just supporting Harry for the walk.

    Lol, it's funny that they're both standing in the corner together. And it's cute how they're both scheming to get back at Snape. I have a feeling it's not going to be as fun as they imagined.
