    I liked your story very much. Until this chapter. Why, oh why would the sorting hat do such a thing. It's a SORTING hat!
    Almost everybody has some ambition, fairness, courage and curiosity! The sorting is about finding your team. While it does so by which of the virtues above you have in abundance, at the end it is about assigning you a team. Other organizations do the same thing but by lottery. They are the ones you do homework with, team sports and twist bread over the common room fireplace.
    Now Harry belongs neither here nor there. If his is supposed to be a new house/team then we suddenly have 5. or 8. Or 13. New houses without balanced demographics aka. older students to help them
    And on which quidditch team are those kids going to play on? Is Harry staying on the Gryffindor team? Is he playing against Slytherin? They are going to hate him!
    Or won't he play at all, until there are seven students in his house?
    Where are his points going to be allocated to?
    I get why you want more house unity. But this is not a solution!

When Snape comes looking for Draco, Harry tells him that Draco has run away, and that he won’t tell him where Draco is unless Snape takes Harry with him. **Note** I'm aware that some of you don't like bad!Sirius stories. Don't worry, Sirius isn't actually in the story much, however there is redemption in the end. It's not so much that he's just bad, more that he's fallen. This story is about how people fall, and how they can make it back out in the end, getting a second chance. It is NOT a character bashing story.

    This story reminded me a lot about "Camp". Although it is longer and more serious. I think I prefer "Camp" (and the earlier HP books).
    I especially like your use of OCs. Authors who don't use them usually have minor characters compleatly OOC. And your OCs are complex characters with feelings, pasts and relationships. I like that!

Harry has a little problem, followed by a little freak out, and compounded by a confusing conversation with the Sorting Hat, who has special things in mind for him and Professor Snape. A (sort of) Christmas story as a lot of it revolves around Harry's wish for a good Christmas. [About the selected warnings] most of those were just to be safe. The Dursley's and their abuse is hardly mentioned, the corporal punishment is for the way the other students treat Harry (as well as the violence warning), and the limited use of profanity is mild.
