Hi, I'm Kim.  I live in Pennsylvania.  I have three children but two have grown and moved out.  One is still fairly young.  I've homeschooled the children most of their lives so I haven't worked in quite a few years.  I run a website called Spirit Talks where mediums meet and help others to hear from those who've passed.  We're on Hiatus right now as my web building software disappeared and none was included in my new computer's op system.     I love Harry Potter and the world of fanfiction associated with it.  Who knew there were so many talented and wonderfully imaginative people out there willing to give more life to characters who must rest for years between adventures?  I'm just glad there is!     I'm so glad I gave your story a try. I was a little leary at first, and put it off for a while. I was afraid that a story in which our heroes were permanantly disabled would be too sad, too hard to bear. I'm glad that I read these first three chapters, though, because they're quite good. I like the characterizations and the possibilities. I still hope they'll both return to full health, but I'm coming along for the ride no matter the future. It's too well written and contains too many possibilities to miss.

    Excellent chapter and no, I don't think at all that it's going too fast. I think Snape has been perfectly Snape and even though we don't always believe it, he IS human, and humans are created with an innate desire to love and protect small children. Being Snape, he'd ignore it and fight it long and hard, but it would still be there. I think you're going at a perfect pace.
