Title: Chapter 41: On Top of the World

This chapter was absolutely astounding! I admit that I wanted to cry when Harry said that the World Trade Center wasn't going anywhere.... and it made me wonder how the Wizarding World reacted to the events of 9/11/2001.
Back to the climax of New Year's Eve, the only proposal I could think of as more romantic was the one my husband made to me many, many years ago. :)
The last scene broke my heart. After the joy of the proposal and the way that Severus finally felt as if he were part of everyone celebrating a new year, new start and new life, being ripped away from his mummy and daddy (and he FINALLY called them that!) was just horrible. Thank Merlin that Harry and Ginny have those mental bonds with him... I just hope that the Malfoys don't have some kind of nasty magic that would block it!
Heh, the Slytherin in me is coming out. If the Malfoys are under constant supervision, which might just moderate their reaction to Severus' behavior, Severus can start throwing the mother of all temper tantrums, bring out all the behaviors that he knows isn't tolerated at home with Harry and Ginny, and so forth, and drive the Malfoy's crazy! *grin* Hey, he might even drive Draco to drink publicly!
In any case, I know that baby Severus is in good authorial hands and I'm looking forward to seeing the next chapter when you get it done. I've really enjoyed this story very much and I'm putting it on my favorites!
Wonderfully, well done!

A wonderful chapter, even though not-wonderful things were happening in Malfoy Manor. I am so glad that Severus remembered the white magic candle inside himself. :)
I loved the vision of what his future would be with Teddy and Lily and Harry and Ginny and all!
And I'm glad to see Astoria and Narcissa finally stand up against Draco and Lucius! I'm very much looking forward to the courtroom drama, and I'm betting that Sirius and Mooney are going to find that priest who was Harry's lifeline in the East End. :)
Congratulations on your graduation! That's a great accomplishment, and I hope that you celebrated appropriately.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter, and I know it won't disappoint.Well done!
-- Sequel to Shadowland -- When the world of light has come to pass, and darkness comes to reign, bonds of blood can surpass, and a world of hate be tamed. When times are dark and enemies find they have common ground to stand on, unbreakable bonds can sometimes be forged. Can these bonds hold strong long enough to defeat darkness and once again bring the world into light? Betrayal can be a tricky thing...

Wow! A Minister Fudge whom I can actually respect as a man with intelligence for a change!
That was an excellent conversation between Fudge and Dumbledore, and you set the scene very well.
I laughed out loud about the scolding cookies (they're actually called "biscuits" in Great Britain, you know). Did the Minister and his aides get any of them before they left? *grin*
It's nice to see Harry and Draco getting along. And I'm looking forward to seeing Severus again. On to the next chapter! Well done!
Harry Potter starts Hogwarts with high hopes of finding himself a real family, and holds tightly to this hope despite the torture his new Potion's Master seems intent on putting him through. Can Harry's hope hold out long enough to see his dream through?

I can't believe that I missed this story of yours. I really like it a lot!
I especially enjoyed Severus providing Harry with a Christmas tree, and the glowbug spell.
Well done! I look forward to more of the tale in the future when you get the time to write it.

I can't remember if I ever reviewed this before, although I have read it several times. I still love it. :-) It's sweet, and you did a good job with setting up the subplot about Harry's injury, and an excellent job of keeping Sev in 4-year-old character. But what I liked best was when you shifted the point of view to Alastor in the last chapter with all the shenanigans of the birthday party. :-) The very end when he said farewell to the old Severus and faced fully forward to life with little Sev was so very well done. Thanks again for sharing this. It made me smile today.
Author's Response: And you made me smile because of your wonderful words. I always am glad to hear that some people like my stories that much. This is one of my favs too.

I found myself re-reading this delightful story this morning and had to tell you how much it made me smile.
I've always loved that Kenny Chesney song, and you did a great job in working it into the fic.
Well done!

What a cliffhanger! I can't wait to see what's next! Well done!
I wish I could score this a 20!
Author's Response: Wow! Thank you! I hope to have the next bit posted soon. I'm curious to see how it measures up!
On Christmas Eve, an unwanted child is left in a manger and found by a young Potions Master, changing both their lives forever. AU, implied child abuse, neglect, possible CP, Sev raises Harry.

Oh, this was just the sweetest story! :) I really like how you've tweaked the canon events and I really like the characterization of Severus Snape here. He's not the nasty Potionsmaster from Hogwarts, but he's still a bit snarky and grumpy at times. Best of all, he knows what joy is, unlike his canon counterpart. And little Harry is adorable!
I loved his first bout of accidental magic! I do hope that you are able to add more to this story over the Christmas holidays.
Well done!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I just posted a new chapter and am working on the next one tonight. This was what I imagined Sev would be like if he had never been a DE, and had been able to not be torn apart by Lily's rejection of him. Yes, he does, because Harry is there to teach him. Merry Christmas!

This was an absolutely amazing story. I couldn't stop reading it and stayed up way too late last night and snuck in reading the chapters during my breaks and lunch at work today. Awesomely conceived and excellently executed! This is going on my favorites and I will be recommending it to my friends to read.
Well done!
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Sorry about not responding earlier; I fell way behind. (I'm catching up on the most recent page.) There will be a little more in this universe soon -- not another epic, but a story.
