I'm always facinated with "reverse" stories; I can't wait to see what the next chapter will bring. I've liked the use of elf magic so far. Snape is interesting-- a nice balance of a good person with a bad attitude. I'm looking forward to Harry taking an active role....

A disabled Harry comes to Hogwarts story. Everyone expects him to be like his dad, but how can he be with such a different past? A Slytherin Harry takes on Hogwarts in an unusual way.

I'm thrilled to see another chapter to this story. This is a very chilling chapter when we get to Dumbledore's part. I hope we get a bit more detail about the magical theory and his crazy plan. As well as Singe/Harry interaction and some time with his friends (it was nice here, but it's great when they interact as a group).

This is in response to the request by ObsessiveaboutSnape. Snape survives his injuries due to the effects of a certain potion which saves him, though leaving him deaged. Once out of St. Mungo's, he is dumped in as a Ministry ward. Two of the Aurors abandon him at a seemingly deserted place and then it is slowly revealed that the place is not deserted at all....and Snape gets an unenexpected guardian.

I'm excited to see a new "reverse" story. It's a good starting chapter, except for that faint. I don't want to discourage the author, but the idea that a healthy teenage boy would faint is bizzare-- have you ever met anyone who has fainted without some signficant outside circumstance (they were quite ill, or it was from extreme heat, etc.)? Also the coincidence is pretty high-- they leave the baby on Harry's doorstep? With all of England and Scotland to choose from? Still, I like the situation and the idea of a paranoid Harry holed up in a crumbing mansion.

Author's Response: I know, I found it a trifle strange, myself...but I had already submitted it before I realised it. And as for the coincidence, well - you have to base the story on something, haven't you? One can't build castles upon the air...:) Thanxx...:)

Interesting events in this chapter... if Ron and Herminone are worried, I assume they'll owl Harry (just because he has no owl, doesn't mean that they can't send him something)....

    Author's Response: Thanxx...you're right....:)

After helping Draco Malfoy escape the custody of Sirius Black, Harry endures the wrath of his Godfather. When Snape comes looking for Draco, Harry tells him that Draco has run away, and that he won’t tell him where Draco is unless Snape takes Harry with him. **Note** I'm aware that some of you don't like bad!Sirius stories. Don't worry, Sirius isn't actually in the story much, however there is redemption in the end. It's not so much that he's just bad, more that he's fallen. This story is about how people fall, and how they can make it back out in the end, getting a second chance. It is NOT a character bashing story.

I just read the four chapters posted today and this story is off to a great start. I'm curious to find out exactly who Snape is in this one-- clearly he's very prejudiced, but I'm hoping he's not completely irrational. His treatment of Harry has been rather harsh-- it's one thing not to care about someone's pain, but another to not be concerned about a near death expereince (the lung injury) of a child in your care. I'm begining to think that this Snape just considers abuse to be normal, since he has seen two cases of severe abuse and he doesn't really seem surprized or repulsed. If Harry had broken ribs and Draco was "ten times worse" then Draco must have been beaten enough to suffer some organ damage at least-- which means that the injuries were probably life threatening as well. I appreciate that the author doesn't believe in revenge, but there should be some steps taken to make sure that neither boy end up in Sirius's care again at least. I'm sure he wouldn't mind tarring Sirius's reputation with Dumbledore in any case.

Author's Response: There's no need to worry about them ending up in Sirius' care again... trust me, there will be a big angsty moment with Dumbledore and Harry will take care of some things.  Also there will be something very important involving Sirius at some point in the story and Harry and Draco will no longer have to worry about him.

After a chance encounter, Harry and Severus discover a carnival that promises to make all of their dreams come true.

I just found this story and I'm facinated. I like the mystery of the carnival-- especially the dark hint about the hall of mirrors. Especially that it pushed out the carousel as its opposite principle (which just points out how imbalanced everything is). We've gotten bits of Servus's perspective so far, but I'd like to know more about his day and how the carnival is affecting him. Weren't they both attracted to what the carnival had to offer-- I appreciate that Severus is more self-protective and secretive, but it doesn't really flow together that he agreed to this if he doesn't seem to find anything good. We did get some explanation when he thought about how freeing it was not to be a potion master-- I think just a little more of that sort of thing would help.

Author's Response: Sorry for the late reply to your review. I'm glad you like the story and you have a very good point. Though I do plan to show more of Severus' day and such later on, I like the idea of showing more of how the carnival is affecting him. So yeah, I will expand on what I have already put in there. I have already updated, so I will work on putting more of Severus' thoughts into the story on that particular topic. I feel silly for not thinking of it the way you said it, lol. But thanks and thank you for the review, I really apreciate it!

Severus Snape gets more than he bargained for when he overhears a heated conversation between Harry Potter and his best friend, Ronald Weasley.

I dearly hope that this author will continue writing. I really love the depth of Severus's character development. The weaving of present and past is enchanting-- balanced well enough that the fragments of the past are facinating, perhaps it's because they are succinct but dramatically powerful.

Author's Response: Thank you very much. I apologize for not replying sooner, and for not putting the final chapter in place. I am humbled by your words.

Dumbledore forces Severus to continue to teach Potter Occlumency. This prolonged exposure engenders a fragile bond between the two. This new relationship will change the lives of many, including their own.

Adoption and torture warning have been added as the story may deal with those but are not a certainty as of now.

This new chapter is wonderful-- I like the consistent characterization of him as thoughtful and compassionate, but awkward expressing emotions that aren't anger.

COMPLETE. Harry and Hermione go to a prestigious summer school, where Snape is a teacher. Unfortunately for Harry, Snape has spoken to the other staff and is on his way to turning the whole school against Harry.

I just recently found this story and it's been great so far. It's fascinating to learn about a new magical school and all of the cultural differences. I'm hoping that as Harry becomes less of an outcast, we will have some time to develop the international characters more.

Being sent to stay in a psychiatric ward at St. Mungo’s isn’t exactly the most enjoyable way to spend a summer, so naturally, Harry’s pretty angry when he finds out that’s his destination, regardless of whether or not it might be good for him. Facing a full summer of being cut off from the Order’s plans, Harry’s even taken to envying Snape, because at least Snape knows what is going on. But when Harry arrives at St. Mungo’s and discovers that a fire has changed his destination from the teen ward to the adult ward, everything is turned upside down. Enter his roommate - suicidal, depressed, and none other than Severus Snape. They are both willing to bet that their summer will be a total disaster, and maybe it will be, but even the surest of gamblers are not always right.

This was a great chapter-- in an odd way, I always see Snape as a teenager. Perhaps because his story is about being stuck in his adolescent failures. And who doesn't love smirky, self-satisfied Snape? It may be upsetting to Harry, but it's great to see Snape just letting go instead of running in mental circles.

Author's Response: Haha, I too see Severus as an eternal teenager in some ways, Quynce! I definitely agree with your logic on that one. And Severus is way fun when he's in that kind of mood. Thanks for reviewing. :)
