Just before Christmas, Harry hears the basilisk again and believes he's going mad. Why else would he hear a voice that no one else can, talking about blood and death? Unable to take the stress, he flees the castle in the middle of a blizzard. Severus Snape follows him and they end up trapped in a cave, along with a very rare creature. Will they survive to see Christmas morning? Will they finally learn to set aside old grudges and impressions and learn the truth about each other? Christmas 2010 fic! - This story is a great winter read - especially for someone who's just walked a couple of miles in the snow! I think the meeting between the Basilisk and the Wise One will be an interesting one, and though I'd like her to talk sense into him, I shall wait and see to find out what happens ;) I'm thoroughly enjoying this so far

- Oooo, things are getting exciting! Very well described scene by the way with the Whispering Man, very eerie, and it's interesting how only Harry could see it... I wonder why Sirius was being so secretive? You know, I was actually surprised when I came to the end of this chapter - I was so engrossed. Aw, and poor Harry, eating all on his lonesome in the Great Hall. Now I wonder who's hit Harry with the Petrificus Totalus? Have to say, my money's on Snape...

- Welcome back! Very dramatic & a good read. Lol, 'Alan' - I actually thought he might be Regulus' ghost for a time, but you've obviously got something in mind. I quite like 'the Whispering Man' but am happy with another name you might come up with :)

- Yay! You're back!!! Great chapter (and believe it or not, I'm a fan of the cliffhanger) Ooh, I really want to trust Whisper because he's such a cool character, but at the same time, I would love it if he had an ulterior motive... So hard to decide.
Whisper's reason for existence is pretty cool - would love to hear more about the mechanics of his creation - and his appearance in the hospital wing was spot on. Very spooky.

- This fic made my day! Any story with Charlie-the-Unicorn references is a-OK with me ;) Really really funny - great job. 'Dumbledore gave me special privileges' lol. Snape's face when Harry said that must have been priceless.
A truly horrible thought occurred to Severus, if Petunia had failed to give her nephew the most basic necessities, what else had she withheld? Springfest 2016.
