About me:

On May 28th of 2002, after a lot of deliberation and thought, I became Ponytail Goddess on fanfiction.net.  Looking back, I can't help but wonder why I chose such a silly name.  Clearly, I never thought I'd grow out of my ponytail phase during my freshmen year of high school.  Oh, how things have changed...

Anyway, I guess I could tell you a few less than interesting facts about myself, such as the fact that I am a music education major or that I live in Illinois, which is known for it's unpredictable weather.  However, that's not too terribly interesting, so I will bore you no longer.

I am here to write a few good fics and my main focus as an author is creativity.  I strive to write intricate fics with highly detailed plots that have not been seen before.  I like tricking people into believing one thing when they should believe another.  I also believe that a story can be satisfying with a less than happy ending.  Not everything in life ends happily, so why should all fics end happily?  Variety is the spice of life, so I'm going to flavor my fics in different ways to please you.

The only element of consistency in Harry Potter's life always seemed to be the death of the people who cared about him, the people he loved. One more death, so soon after the last, pushes Harry over the edge. He never would have expected to find solace in such an unlikely place. But with his heart and mind engulfed in a torrent of pain, that is exactly what he finds there.

    That was actually quite good. I love how you didn't have to acknowledge that it was Snape there at the end, but through a series of hints, the readers can tell who it is. Nice work.

    Aw, that was cute. I love how he was holding little Sev at the end. I don't know why this story didn't get a good response; I thought it was very well-done. I especially liked the part where they were eating Fred and George's candies and Sev was running around with feathers. Great job!

    Lol, nice! I'm so excited that you've come out with more (and uber excited about the up-and-coming story as well!). I'm very excited to see what Sev comes up with for his Alastor's birthday. My one criticism would be that the question "What do you wish for your birthday?" doesn't sound quite right. Now, I'm not an expert on British says, but in America, we usually ask "What do you want for your birthday?" I've never heard it the other way. It makes sense, but it doesn't flow as well, in my opinion.

    I can't wait for more though and was excited that you said this whole fic was already complete! I hope you post more soon!

    Thanks for mentioning my mistake. I will change it. I just translated the sentence word by word from German and that was the result.

    "What shall the Ministry lick, Uncle Al?"-LOL! Cute, yet bittersweet at the end. I'm enjoying this fic very much. I am rather astonished at how flirty the dialogue between Al and Tonks was, but I suppose they are probably close friends who could get away with that stuff because of their age difference and job.

    I hope little Sev can keep Al occupied in a different way during the party. No, it won't be the same, but he could always start a new tradition.

    Yes, I know the dialogs between Tonks and Alastor are close to become impropiate but I hope it is still okay. I hope the scenes between Alastor and Poppy make clear where his love lays,

    That was good--I'd really love to read more, particularly, if Snape somehow missed out on getting the memories out of Harry's head and Harry and him spoke about things in a more rational manner later. I wonder what they'd have to say to each other if they could keep calm enough to hear each other out.

    It was rather ironic that Harry didn't see the memory about Snape being his father. I love irony! Nice work!

    This is pretty impressive for a first fic. Harry's depression is conveyed perfectly and I love how Draco keeps sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.

    My one suggestion would be to get a beta. You have some typos in here that dampen the quality of the fic and they'd be easy fixes. There are tons of betas on P&S--I think you should find one and take advantage of someone who is willing to help you make this into a real piece of art.
