Oh I love this! Original, witty and beautifully written. The first few scenes, the ones which are just dialogue between Cy and Harry, are probably my favourites; it takes skill to pull that technique off but you've done it beautifully. The backstory is also intreguing but believable and I loved Severus' reaction to Cy (both human characters are very well portrayed, by the way; I could imagine their canon selves acting in a very similar manner ^^)

Cy is gorgeous; if only she could cross dimentions- I think my 'Mr. Hissy' (from 'When the Boat Comes In') would absolutely adore her!

Author's Response: Thank you! I started to read "When the Boat Comes In" after reading your review, and I've been enjoying it very much so far! Mr. Hissy and Cy would make a great couple - the first basilisk pairing in HP history :)! Thank you very much for your review!

You think you know someone, and then one day you're surprised to learn that all you thought about that person was a lie. You were wrong. For Snape, his glass house shatters as a final dark secret is revealed. Entrant in the 2011 Fic Exchange. Written for MiuBlaze.

Title: Chapter 1: When Glass Houses Shatter 19 Feb 2011

Great story; I really liked how you slowly revealed the situation behind Harry and Draco staying with Severus and the boys' interaction over The Secret, which felt very believable. One question, though; did one nightmare occur the night before Draco and Harry's final arguement or had there been a series of nightmares? If it's the latter, Draco would probably have given some indication he was 'in the know', e.g. by suddenly being suspiciously nice to Harry, pitying looks, etc.
That minor detail aside, this was a clever, very well executed story; I especially loved your portrayal of Snape and his thought processes- a mixture of exasperation, arrogance and sarcasm suits him ^^

Author's Response: thanks for reading and reviewing.

Harry's been sorted into Slytherin, and Snape is forced to see things he would rather not. And what does an old box from a long time friend have to do with anything? Entrant in the 2011 Fic Exchange. Written for autumnamberleaves.

Great story; I loved your portrayal of Snape, who had all his canon prickiness and pettiness but was very loveable nevertheless due to his obvious emotional vulnerability. I also adored your depiction of Harry and Draco's relationship; it figures that the bossy, politically motivated little boy would take Harry under his wing then come to care for him- the pair's instinctive, innocent relationship reminded me of Hansel and Gretal ^^. The ideas of Lily's letter and the photograph were gorgeous; very vivid, raw and endearing. I loved Lupin and his line about the common courtesies that Severus had not cared to commit to memory was gorgeous.

A well written, brilliant story; I loved it.

Two stubborn wizards are stuck together trying to kill Voldemort for good. The Wizarding world thinks he's already dead, and Snape & Harry discover that Dumbledore didn't quite have all the answers. At least, not the right ones.

Very interesting and original premise; I really liked how you portrayed the tension before and confusion during the battle and how you depicted Harry's awakening and slow realisation of his injuries. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Title: Chapter 1: Nothing But The Rain 20 Feb 2011
Reviewer: Morgana (Signed)
Very interesting chapter; it's interesting how you've mirrored Mark and Harry's lives and I can see Harry going out of his way to help a younger, more vulnerable child. Snape's reaction is very typical- his prejudice against Harry makes him rather blind.

Title: Chapter 2: I'm With You 20 Feb 2011

Good chapter; I loved Ron and Hermione's argument (not to mention Ginny's pert comment about their feelings). I wonder whether Mark Evans father would risk behaving so abusively in a public place, however; there are always policemen at Kings Cross and it's very crowded- abuse tends to happen behind closed doors.

Author's Response: Good point.  People are crazy though.  I don't know how it is there in England, but I've occasionally seen people here in the US in packed grocery stores or public parking lots yelling at their kids, cursing at their kids, or spanking their kids (although I don't considder mild spanking as abuse if used appropriately) amongst other things.  I think that if somebody is abusive behind closed doors they either really don't care about their children, or will have a hard time keeping that under wraps while out in public.  It's a behavior and behavior is hard to change and therefor would show itself in private and in public to some extent.  Great insight though.

Very interesting chapter; I really liked the interaction between the characters and thought that Professor Snape's reaction was believable. Looking forward to reading more.

However, you might want to amend some of the words; 'candy' is either 'sweets' or 'chocolate' (depending on the kind), 'chips' are 'crisps', 'soda' is generally refered to as a 'soft' or 'fizzy' drink and 'oatmeal' is 'porridge'. (It doesn't matter overmuch but it does add a feeling of authenticity to the story if the characters use British English)

Title: Chapter 4: What's Owed 20 Feb 2011
Reviewer: Morgana (Signed)
Good chapter, a nice mix of grit and fluff; I really liked how you used Harry's conversation with Mark to show Severus the truth. Severus' reaction also felt very real; although his prejudice against Harry is portrayed as rather blind in the canon, he's definately depicted as a man who takes fast, decisive action. The ending did feel a bit rushed, though; it would have been nice if this story was a few chapters longer and chronicaled the change. Nevertheless, good work.

Very interesting chapter; I love how you've portrayed the characters- their personalities seem canon but evolved to fit the situation. I liked your use of imagery and very interested to find out more about Harry's condition.

    Author's Response: Thanks Gana! :D
