Even the fat lady won't let Harry into the common room until he shows her he is a true Gryffindor. This revelation leads to a surprise for Severus Snape.

Based on the challenge Changing the Past by shigeki11: Severus and Harry have survived the final battle, however on the very night as Hogwarts sleep a Dark Lord from the past resurfaces and Hogwarts is destroyed. They journey to the past and adopt the toddler Tom Riddle in order to save the future. How much can they really change when some things seem destined to happen. Set partially during World War II where conditions of war exist; implied rape, implied torture though not of main characters (nothing graphic). Bad Dumbledore. Implied Dumbledore/Grindelwald.

- I say you can't have Snape kill her, not if he is to remain taking care of Harry and especially not in front of Harry. I think a combo of 2 and 3 would be good but before sticking her by Sirius have Snape and Sirius talk and explain things so Sirius can drive her crazy(er) before the dementors come lol...I hope your mom is ok

Everyone seems to have forgotten that the Boy-Who-Lived exists. Harry's friends don't remember who he is. It's a struggle for Harry to hold on to reality as he knows it, while at the same time coming to terms with who he really is. He finds Snape an unexpected ally in the struggle that ensues to reclaim his identity. 6th year AU. (Harry is gay)
