And Dumbledore's off scheming and plotting again :)... I'm glad you decided to continue the story; I'm looking forward to the third part and the solving of the mystery!
Harry has a point to prove...

Great little one-shot!I was a bit afraid Snape would explode halfway through Harry's speech, but it seems that Harry actually got his point across and gave Snape something to think about. Very good read, thanks for posting!

I have a secret addiction to kidfics, so I was thrilled to see you were posting one! Very nice first chapter; Harry's very cute, and I like his budding Slytherin tendencies. As for Snape, I like seeing his softer side; I have to agree with Socks4Dobby though that his interactions with Harry don't always seem in sync with what he know about his personality. To give an example, I'd imagine he might be a bit "rougher" in showing his affection for Harry; he might tease him or call him "brat" (affectionately, of course), or complain about how annoying Harry is when he secretly loves him to bits :). That being said, I very much enjoyed how you showed his relative inexperience in dealing with kids, like telling Harry tall tales about transformed chocolate frogs only to have to comfort him afterwards. I can definitely see that happening :). So nice to see you posting here; I hope you update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your lovely review! Socks4Dobby did mention that Severus was a bit OOC but I had sort of planned it that way. I wanted Severus to be different from what he is portrayed. But like I said before, I agree with both of your views that Severus is the more rougher sort. As I said earlier, if Severus Snape was my father (weird as that sounds lol) I would want him to act in this sort of way. But I'll definitely put into considerations what you've told me! Thank you so much leaving and review and I'll update as soon as my exams are over!

Great story! I really liked the unique angle with Marie Jahoda, and how you built her personal background into the story. That was very well done. Poor little Harry, I'm glad Snape came for him. And of course I'd love to see a sequel! Thank you for posting!

Very very good. You showed very clearly the price everyone payed in the War, those on the side of the Light as well as the Dark. And the ending was almost poetic. Thank you for a great read!

I really like this so far, bot your writing style and the way you set the scene. I particularly liked the part about Harry's names with the Dursleys versus his names in the wizarding world. Wonderful job, please continue soon!
Author's Response: Glad you liked it since it was... well, quite boring actually. Next chapter's coming.

I feel so sorry for Harry... Jenkins seems to realize how starved he is for affection, and how easily that can be exploited.
I love your writing and your sensitive handling of the subject. Looking forward to more!
Severus Snape comes across a runaway… the boy-who-lived to be exact, and drags him back to his home where a struggling Harry is surprised to find Luna Lovegood. Severus had agreed to take custody of Luna at the start of the summer, but taking on the boy who lived to be a pain in his arse as well? Harry is finding out quickly that he’s got everything to lose… and everything to gain. In response to the 'multiple challenges', 'this is home', and 'father to two challenges'.

I didn't have much time for reading lately, so I read this all in one go just now. Great story so far; I like how you capture teenage Harry's mood swings and tendency to dramatize: everything's a life-changing event, and people are either for or against him. Given Harry's difficult situation, it's no wonder that he's going through all that angst. I like that you had Snape treat him harshly at first, because it's realistic; especially after the Pensieve incident, Snape would not be able to shed his prejudices against the "Potter brat" just because he saw him eating from the garbage. That was very nicely done, as was Snape's eventual change of mind. I also very much like your Luna, and hope that she'll continue to play a part in the story. Thank you very much for writing, I'm looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thanks much! No worries, because Luna will continue to play a part, although probably not as big of a one now that they are back at Hogwarts.

What a well-written, thoughtful alternate ending to DH2 - I loved it! I think I'll ignore canon from now on and pretend that this is what actually happened. There were so many great parts that I can't name all of them, but one thing I particularly liked was how Snape asked Sev all of the questions he once asked Harry.
Thank you so much for writing this - 10 out of 10!
Severus was trying to brew a potion that could help him preserve the life of his loved ones, however when testing it on himself intending for it to just take off two years of his life it took off about...hmm...thirty.

Title: Chapter 7: Boggarts

Poor Severus... but it makes sense that his Boggart would take this form. After all, the thing he probably feared most - Lily dying - has already happened, and he was at least partly responsible. So of course he'd fear himself more than anything else. What a thoughtful, well-written chapter! I'm glad Sirius finally saw that Sevvy isn't Snape, and that he has a right to be treated like a kid. Looking forward to more!
