Following the death of Sirius, Harry isn't sure what to make of the sudden appearance of a six-year-old boy. The pair form a bond, unaware they're half-brothers, and Harry decides to take the boy to Hogwarts and hide him there. To aide the boy's education, Harry anonymously exchanges letters with Snape.

A story of a how a young boy becomes a father-figure to another while their own father is oblivious of their biological existence. But can sixteen-year-old Harry give what he himself has not gained? Can he go an entire year without being discovered? Just how far will Severus go to find the writer of those letters...Or are some things best left unknown?

    And the bomb drops. *BOOM*

    Wow. That sure was a roller coaster ride, for both me and Harry (I believe I can throw you in for good measure?) It's really well built up; well enough for my sister to come into my room to find what deafened her for a minute. Lol.

    The conversation between Irma (Eileen?) and Harry really did show how closely Harry and Toby has bonded. Harry had come a long way from Sirius to Toby. I mean, I'd though Harry'd dwell on Sirius too much, but nope. Impulse control all's fine too. Nice. :)

    I think Harry will start to wonder about his own parentage too, now that his appearance had started to change. That, and Irma wasn't really subtle in speaking bout Evan. Will he? Is he going to figure it out on his own, or... The alternative is a bit fun to think of. *grins*

    Sev is so nasty! Can't blame him, though. Oh well. He might figure out Irma somehow saw the book in one of his student's possesion? I mean, Irma didn't know until now... He's not gonna try accioing it during Harry's Potions class, is he?

    Oh, and Toby's name! What a wonderful way to bring Toby back! When Snape finds out, and I have a feeling he's going to find out real soon instead of after the war, is he going to change Toby's name? Or will it be like a middle name instead, since I don't think Toby has one?

    What's with the cat, though? Is it going to be a major character? Something... surprising? Don't tell me it's some animagus or someone's pet in disguise..

    lily Evans. 1979. I have more than an inkling what the memory is. :D Can't wait for it! OOH! The cat isn't gonna sneak in and bring Harry there, is it?? ACK! *ignore me, please.*

    Ahem.

    Anyway, I don't get why dumbledore will tell hagrid. I mean, Hagrid isn't really the kind of person I'd trust with a secret. *cough Fluffy cough* Why indeed...

    I think I'm rambling too much and spoiling the story with my so-called theories. Delete the thing if you want. I know I can be a little "over" sometimes... It's such amazing progress, you know?

    So, fantastic job, keep it up, and I really can't wait for the next chapter. SNAPE!!! Ok. I seriously need to sign off, or i won't stop. Update soon! :)

      A bomb may have dropped, but is it destructive? That is the question.  
      Haha, I'm glad you liked this chapter! Harry has little time to dwell on Sirius though he does have his moments and misses him terribly still. His appearance isn't really "changing" per se, merely that it's different because he's being less controlling over it. At this point, Harry still has little real reason to doubt who he's been told his father is. Yes, Severus is likely to have formed that conclusion about the book. He won't be there during Harry's potion's class, besides he couldn't accio it anyway ;).
      No, Toby doesn't have a middle name at this point of time. I am not going to tell you much about those things just yet though. All in due time. he cat, however, is going to be a more re-occuring character, but dont worry...it's just a cat, not an animagus, nor does it belong to anyway (yet, if Toby has his way). Nor will it be sneaking in places it likely to never even see. Besides, no one can get into Irma's private rooms without her permission.
      Dumbledore told Hagrid for a reason, which shall be revealed soon. No, he may not be the best secret-keeper, however he'sin the Order don't forget, therefore he's not entirely hopeless at such. Have a little faith :). And I find your "ramblings" to be the highlight of updating this fic. It's exactly what I pray for from a reviewer, honesty. I would never dream of deleting nor ignoring it, please do keep it up! It always makes me smile and want to write more on the fic, and also it's very motivating and of course, immeasurealy useful. So thank-you a heap!

    Yay!! A long chapter! And what with your preview of the next chapter featuring Harry and Snape, I'm elated!!! Lol.

    Hmm. I'm reading this quite hurriedly, but am afraid I wouldn't have the time to review the next time i do read it again. Forgive me. :) But I really do want to say i enjoyed Irma and Harry's conversation very very much. :) I wonder how Harry would react when he finds out he does indeed have the same grandmother as Toby. :)

    Severus and the cat. Hmm. Interesting. Magical creatures like Felix (Good name!!) interest me. Severus is not going to find Felix following him everywhere, is he? Oh OH OH!!! Felix gonna run away from Toby and Snape discovers Toby because Toby was chasing after Felix who was going to Snape?

    I'm not making much sense. Ignore me.

    Anyway, good job! I await the next chapter very very very faithfully. *hint 90% Snape Harry hint*

    Hehe. I love all of your reviews and have missed them since I didn't update as soon as I usually do (blame it on a wayward inernet and me getting me own laptop in which I can finally play the Sims 3. Ahh Snape and Harry sims are wicked). Glad you enjoyed many aspects of t chapter and things are geing closer to those involved finding out about Harry and Snape being related etc. As for Felix (glad you like the name!), he will not be contributing to the discovery of Toby nor the major secrets involved, however even he has a part to play, although your theory s still likely only without the expect discoveries you mentioned. I shall never ignore you! :)

    Thanks and glad to hear it. As for 90% Snape and Harry in the next chapter, no I would even go as far as to say there's at least 98%. And all chapters following it have more in it than usual as well, to the point I fear my reviewers will miss the other characters for a little while, with the exception of Dumbledore. Thanks again!

    Oh, and just to point something out. You're put Lily Potter instead of Evans when Harry's asking about his mum. And Severus didn't respond to the question so I;m guessing it's a typo?

    OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! This is the best chapter yet!!

    Snape has really changed a lot, if that was how he sounded before. You made him sound so sweet, a man capable of such love. Oh wow. And the picture is really lovely! I love it, both the making-up scene and the picture.

    I guess Harry will lash out at Snape the minute he saw him. I think some part of him hates Snape for destroying the life he'd known, another part of him feeling betrayed by both his mum and Snape (I believe he'd come to tolerate the Severus in the past), and one little part of him hating Snape for treating him unfairly and the Dursleys. But I guess, Harry could very well go to Snape calmly (well, as calm as Harry is) and confront him.

    Is the future going to change? Now that Harry has gone back to the past? Will Severus remember meeting Harry when he was young? 'Cause if Snape has absolutely no idea of Harry (which doesn't really make sense) Severus' gonna be real bewildered at Harry's reaction.

    Faithfully awaiting the next chapter! Gosh, you make my life better, I swear. Bravo, and update soon. :)

As far as Harry knew, it was all some sort of experiment that only Dumbledore could understand. He had no idea that the cat he had been given to keep him company instead of Hedwig over the holidays before his 3rd year, was in fact, his hated Potions Master in disguise.

Because of the Azkaban escapee, Sirius Black, Severus is sent to stay with Harry during the entire summer, never making a sound nor leaving the boy's side. He could not speak, nor could he defend Harry against anyone other than the criminal on the loose, however Severus does something that no other adult in Harry's life had done before...he listened.

    I put that down to the utter shock he had discovering that he 'was' related to Potter, and that that relationship was looking like it might be Father/Son.  He was utterly stunned and then suddenly in a panic to see the 'evidence' for himself in the boy's features.  It's not really him, not the normal him, you're right, but I liked the idea of him getting so caught up in it and showing his more tender side.  Glad you liked it ultimately.
