    I think this was a great ending. I think Snape's arrangements with DD are perfect given his constraints. I also don't think a paternity test needs to be done. The biological truth doesn't really matter: Snape is assuming the role and Harry already believes it. Done deal in my book :-)

    I'm happy Harry didn't angst too much over Vernon's words and pleas. Self-serving was definitely his only motivation.

    And you were right about Vernon already in your second or third review. As you can see I unmasked his selfishness without mercy.

    An interesting, if common start. But it's one of my favorite genre's, so I look forward to more. kudos for capturing the actions needed on the part of rescuers so as not to become kidnappers in Harry's eyes. They let Harry make the decision and that's super important.

    I do imagine you're right, although I can't say I've read other stories with started with the death of the Dursleys myself. However, I do believe the rest of the tale should be more unique, or at the very least, my own take on such a story if it has been done before (wouldn't surprise me).

    Thank you for the feedback, and I'm glad you caught what Remus was attempting to do. It is very important - especially since Harry's already so untrusting.

    I liked it. I wonder if Harry feels like a boy or rather likes the way society treats boys better than girls. Is it a biological urge or a cultural? Does it really matter?

    Though I would like to read more, it's a good ending for a one-shot. I don't actually know where you would take this if you continued it. Nothing has really changed between Severus and harry. What changed was between James and Severus.

    yeah. It would be a challenge to write to have Severus still be the same way to Harry as before. :) I'm eager to see where it goes, but I do agree as well if it were to be a one-shot I could be. :)

    The Hat was quite accurate in its assessment of Harry IMHO. No way was he going to be a Lion. And I've always maintained that Slytherin would ruin Harry. Just like the Hat said, it would shut down any opportunities for Harry to develop emotionally and find his own path. He would be forced to become a cold, heartless and somewhat cruel and vengeful person just to survive.

    Ravenclaw is always the best choice IMHO for a kid that has even a smidgen of complexity in their personality.

    OH, this was better than anything that I could imagine. So creative and heartwarming. And the best part? Harry can be honest with her and they have a chance to have a real friendship that lasts the test of time. No hiding the magical world from Jade, and she'll be one of the few that really knows harry as harry, not as TBWL. Same for Jade, she has someone that knows her history and still lover her.

    I'm just going to imagine that they become a couple and live happily ever after :-)

    Heartbreaking and so well written. Harry is a much more damaged boy than he was at age 10 when he was found in the original story.
