Author's Response: Thank you so much! It was bittersweet too when I wrote this.
Sorry for the late response, it's been years since the last time I logged in :) One unlucky hit with a strange spell. That's all it took to alter the course of Harry's life - and everyone else's life around him. Bound to stay within ten feet of each other, Harry Potter and Severus Snape have to learn to get along or die trying.
But sometimes in the hardest of times, one can learn things never imagined possible. After all, the past doesn't define the future. Takes Place: 5th Year - Snape flavour: None Tags: None Categories: Teacher Snape > Trusted Mentor Snape, Parental Snape > Guardian Snape

Harry has a little problem, followed by a little freak out, and compounded by a confusing conversation with the Sorting Hat, who has special things in mind for him and Professor Snape. A (sort of) Christmas story as a lot of it revolves around Harry's wish for a good Christmas. [About the selected warnings] most of those were just to be safe. The Dursley's and their abuse is hardly mentioned, the corporal punishment is for the way the other students treat Harry (as well as the violence warning), and the limited use of profanity is mild.

Author's Response: It's not about Lockheart. I didn't mention Hagrid either but he's there. Harry Potter is located in London in the dead of night. How exactly did he end up there, and what has he been doing? Well, any kid with half a brain knows not to talk to strangers.

It's been so long since a fan fiction, or rather a story in general has touched me so much, and it is such a wonderful experience. I completely adore this story. :)
Oh, and I hope Harry runs into some snakes while he's in there. :)
Anyway other than that we both are really enjoy reading this. We both really like how you portrayed Snape and Harry. Snape seems carry without being out of character, and Harry's comments are interesting and often amusing. The way that Harry is building trust in Severus is done really well too, as it's going at a more believable pace and not rushed like in a lot of fanfics I've read. I'm really impressed. :) Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm really glad to hear that I haven't lost a reader. I did respond to your previous comment; I don't know if you noticed, but your cousin won't have to worry about any graphic details. It's really good to hear that you like my portrayals of Harry and Snape, and that you think the pace is believable. |
