It is then that a certain Trio (plus one) find a chance to fix things the first time around far too good an opportunity to pass up. - Oooo~ a bold last statement, indeed.
I'm happy we did get to see a bit more of Severus this chapter. By the way Harry gets around him... It almost seems that something happened between them (more than what happened in DH, I mean). Unfortunately, it saddens me that Severus hasn't gone under any character development yet. (Yes, I know that it is only the first 8 chapters. I have to be patient, I know.)
It was really interesting to see Draco interact with the Slytherins. You're making me like Theo. I hope Draco convinces him to join the light.
One last observation: Ron is being a little irksome. I understand him not trusting people, but does he really have to be so mean? Most of the time, it's him overreacting. Hopefully there'll be some development there, too. (~.^)
When a potion explodes in NEWT Potions class, Severus Snape finds himself in an interesting predicament… he really hates when people stare at him. Ron thinks Harry has a hero complex when he tries to help Snape, but has no idea that Harry is the one that needs saving. A one-shot.

- Wow! This one-shot is amazing. I love the way both Harry and Severus developed. So sweet!
One of thing this that caught my attention was the subtle different in the way Harry talked verses how young Severus spoke. Dialect wise, that is. Even though Harry and Severus were the same "age", they did come from different decades. Harry spoke more modernly. This was especially prominent when Harry was asking Ron to "lay off" when they saved Sev from the Ravens. Don't know if you meant to do that, but it was still fantastic. (~.^)
Severus Snape always did the right thing no matter what it cost him. It was his curse, because it always cost him. When Severus and Harry become 'grounded' after Harry is caught dueling, Severus is faced with the challenge of making things right with Harry so he can get the help he needs. In response to Ravenhaired88's "Grounded" challenge. A long one-shot.

- This is just another example of just how talented of an author you are.
It was so sweet! Not to mention new and exciting. There are a lot of adoption stories out there, but they usually happen at the beginning of Harry's Hogwarts career or near the end. There aren't much of the middle years of 2 thru 4.
I must ask a question about the end (Harry telling his children about being "grounded"). How cannon is the end of the second war? Did Harry marry Ginny? More importantly, did Severus survive??

I don't know who he married. Probably Ginny. The ending of the war would be a complicated thing since things have changed in canon for so many main characters. Sirius isn't in hiding and Severus is helpful, so Sirius doesn't die at the end of book 5. Harry also has a lot of adult support so I would imagine the entire search for the horcruxes would be different if the search happened at all. Yes, Snape survives. I'd like to say, "of course he survives! I wouldn't kill off Snape!" But I can't say that because I've killed Snape and Harry in other stories before :p

- Oh, naw, I like seeing what new stories you cook up! It's rather inspiring to find a person who is this enthusiastic about writing. I love writing, but I don't think I've ever written as much as you have in this short amount of time. I kinda envy your motivation. Embrace it.

Author's Response: Thanks ;) it really is nice to know that you like my writing style, and my mind is a messed up place full of bunny plots waiting to morph into giant stories! I merely give them some room to grow on me before writing them and I embrace them with open arms. Totally agree about the junior staff, I've seen if happen many times :-*

Poor Harry, with his money gone and all. At least he didn't end up working for some weird stranger. Severus almost seems... well, less of the untouchable bat of the dungeons, I guess. He's a lot more down-to-earth. I like that.

- Oh no! Harry can't possibly be expected to care for all his financial needs, pay off the Dursley's "care", and only work within the legal amount of hours! - Oh, very nice, Professor! I think the threat had been very well received. Let's just see how long it keeps up until the Dursleys mess up again.
I have a theory on where Harry's money went. Perhaps the money in Gringotts was only meant to be enough to pay school tuition (so he guardians didn't feel any pressure) and a little "extra" if Harry wanted say, money for Hogsmeade. But, because he had to buy robes and school supplies and all the things that his guardians SHOULD have been paying for on top of that, the money ran out a lot faster than it was supposed to. Just a thought.
