Hey Y'all,

I'm Lizzie, a computer science college student who is slowly going insane with all of the schoolwork I have to do, but who loves Harry Potter with a passion.

My user name, just in case you are wondering is pronunced LAY-lee-Uh. I got the name from an old (by now) Star Wars book, and then modified it slightly. ;-}

My favorite character is probably Severus, followed closely by a "good" Draco.

I love Severus/Lily fics, young Harry and Sev fics (father and guardian) and creature fics.

Two of the best creature fics that I have found are Cub by Jadie which is about Sev and Harry being sphinx and is absolutely incredible.

The other story is Changes by SilverWolf7 which is about our favorite professor trying to guide his son as his son begins to become a vampire. This story badly needs a sequel, it is just too good. ;-}

One of my all-time favorite stories though has to be The Better Man by Laume. It asks the question of what would have happened if Sev hadn’t gone over to the Dark Lord’s side. And features many elements that I haven’t seen in other stories such as; good Dursleys, Harry and Dudley growing up as brothers, and a magic Dudley (okay, I have seen the last one before, but only in one other story).

I am mostly a lurker, but I love to write, it's just that I will get halfway through a story and get stuck. I also don't think that my stories are all that good; I may post one someday... I finally posted a story! It is Not Quite so Terrible, and I wrote it for Prompt Fest 2009. Please take a look at it and let me know what you think.

I have had several people ask me to continue Not Quite so Terrible, so I’m going to give it a shot and try to keep it going. If anyone has a scene or idea of something that they would like me to include in one of the chapters, please message me and let me know.

    Wonderful chapter!

    I just about had a fit when the apprentice said that the healer's name was House and that she had a muggle cousin. I was laughing for five minutes straight, nearly scared the dog half to death. ;-}
    I absolutely love that show, and Gregory House. ;-} Chase has to be my favorite though, he's just too cute.
    *clears throat*
    Anyways, I loved the chapter and am eagerly waiting for the next one.

    Your descriptions of New York were wonderful, I felt like I was really there with our favorite family. ;-}

    Oh my word though, you actually made me cry there in the last part of the chapter. Can we all go and hurt Draco and his father? *starts handing baseball bats out to other readers and looks hopeful*
    I thought that my heart was going to break with Harry and Ginny's when Sev finally called them Mummy and Daddy, what should have been one of their happiest memories is turning into one of their worst.

    I can't wait to read the next chapter. And congratulations on graduating!!

    Wow.
    First off, let me thank you for writing this wonderful story in response to my challenge. ;-}

    I loved how Snape could tell if someone else had seen the memories. I have never seen that used in a story before.

    Another thing that I liked was the final memory, it wasn't that long, but there was so much emotion in there.

    All told, it was an incredible story, and I really enjoyed reading it.

I'm glad you liked the memories too, I spent quite a bit of time writing it (and rewriting it and rewriting it) until I was vaguely satisfied. Oh! I was on your profile because I beta-ered your prompt fest fic (loved it, it was so sweet and well written!!!) and I loved it so much that I wanted to see if you had written anything else.     Aww.

    I love it. Great Job!

    I really liked how you portrayed Snape, he was just perfect. I almost fell out of my chair laughing when he and Dumbledore were having their "discussion" at the beginning of the story.
    I also liked Severus pretending to catch the "boggart" that was under the bed.

    Very cute story, I would love to see more. ;-}

    Thanks so much for the review! I am so glad you enjoyed it, because I enjoyed writing it. Snape is so much fun to write, I always used to struggle with him but I suppose I must be getting a bit better, thanks to all the brilliant P&S fics I read I think!

    Great story!!

    I love how you twisted the "Occlumency disaster" into Harry finding doodles of cats. ;-}

    I do have one question, who's wand did Umbridge snap? I know that it wasn't Harry's, and I sincerely doubt that it was Snape's. Was it a spare that Snape kept in his robes "just in case"?

    I loved Snape accioing the owl! I just about died laughing, I'm still laughing about it. I can just see Severus standing there, wand in the air, and the owl coming down, flapping and screeching the whole way. ;-}

    I also really liked how Snape and Hermione got along and all. I loved when Snape told Hermione that he was "the one berating him for his stupidity", and that she could do so later. ;-}

    All in all, incredible story! I loved every second of it.

    Oh, and I think that you might have one thing to correct. When Snape is talking with Rita Sketter he says, "I will introduce to one of the most untraceable, painful poisons at my disposal." I think that it should be, "introduce you to one". Just thought that I might mention that. ;-}

    Heh - I got kidnapped by an insane plot bunny! There was me trying to write a hurt/comfort, but the craziness kept getting in the way!

    I shall definitely find a way to work that into the text next chance I get, but in the mean time - it was just a spare wand Snape was carrying around. After all, I thought a spy would have a few.

    Lol, I can see that poor owl too! Glad you liked the Snape and Hermione bits - and thanks for you review, I loved reading it!

    I shall have a look at the Skeeter/Snape bit and see what I can do (that bit was a little rushed I'm afraid...)

    Incredible.

    Oh, poor little Harry. Broken arms are no fun. (I know from experience)

    I loved Lily's line about James not being worth Severus killing. ;-}
    I also loved Severus dressing down James. Personally, I think that he could have used a little bit more chastisement. Stupid idiot.

    On the other hand, this would be the perfect leverage for Sev and Lily to use to revoke James's visitation rights. Especially if Harry lets slip what had happened earlier at breakfast.

    I really love the story, and I can't wait to see the next chapter. ;-}

    He could have but he wanted to see to Harry first. he was more concerned over his son that beating the snot out James.

The idea - well, I found several things as great ideas in DH (such as Snape being the Headmaster (-:) but I didn't feel Rowling used them to the full potential.     Oh my word.

    I love it. This is a superb story idea, and I can't wait to see where all you take it.

    I love the was that you have done Severus, I like watching him try to figure out what to do exactly with this creature that he is now responsible for. Kinda reminds me of the first time I babysat solo. ;-}

    I also love Snape's little one liners, like, "Other people get kittens and puppies for Christmas. What do I get? An abandoned sick baby that happens to be James Potter’s son!"
    I love it. ;-}
