NO, NO, NONONONONONONONO! Snape do not be an idiot. You don't even know if it will bring Harry out of his state and then who would really care for him? He'll be put in an institution. Left alone and forgoten. He will never forgive himself if you do succeed and kill yourself to release him. Someone else dieing for him.

This is a BAD IDEA. YOu are feeling depressed and discouraged. Don't be a Griffindor and jump into something without considereing ALL the possibilities.

    DO NOT DO IT!

    Great Chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you!  And yes...it was a totally bad idea, but Severus did not think the whole thing through.  As I said in another review, I know that it is not like him not to be very thorough and to think through all the consequences, but at this point he is really affected by Harry's condition and he is desperate.  He really loves Harry.

Yeah! He's awake. You know, I should have realized that if anything could snap Harry out of his "state" his "saving people thing" would do it.

    :-)

    V.

Author's Response: Thank you!  Yes, I thought the 'saving people thing' would do it, too!

A summer trapped with Snape seemed the ultimate torture, but when Harry begins to trust his enemy, a terrible betrayal sends him spiraling into desperation. Will he have the strength to survive? Not canon. Mentions abuse. Takes place after 2nd year.

    Well worth the wait!

I'm glad you updated. This was wonderful--if heartwrenching. Harry and Sev :-) !

You did an excellent job of paiting those memories with Sev's reactions and feeling Harry's emotions. Although the best part was how Harry was worried about the Professor having to feel what he had.

Looking forward to your next update.

Author's Response: I liked that part too.  Thanks for reading =)

Thank you for the update--still love this story. I just take the "lag time" between chapters as a wonderful excuse to go back and read my favorite parts again.

Harry, Severus, Remus, Aria and Neil tour New Orleans on a relaxing getaway. But what starts out as a vacation quickly turns into something sinister, as the shadowy underworld of the Big Easy is revealed when The Midnight Society kidnaps the children to use in a ritual of darkest magic. Will feature vampires, voodoo queens, and shapeshifters, who have hidden for centuries down in the bayou, and could prove to be the most dangerous foes the Snapes have ever faced!

What do I think? Harry isn't the only trouble magnet in Prince family. OK, Sev, it's time to save the day once again. After-all it is your job to save the lives of all trouble magnets.

Looking forward to your next update!
    V.

Author's Response: You're right, Mia's another one who's going to give Sev gray hairs.  Sev is going to have his hands full.

Waking up in a vacant field, with no memory of his past, Harry finds himself being dragged to the house of Tobias Snape. Will Harry find his way home, or will Voldemort find him first?

Oh, I know it will have to be a while yet, but I can't WAIT to see Sev's face when he finds Harry with his FATHER! And, it looks like they just might get along alright. What a laugh that will be!

    More soon please!
    V.

Author's Response: I'm glad you understand! A few seem really impatient to see Harry and Snape together, lol. Thank you for reviewing!

Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all...

NOTE: This story has a prologue. It is not necessary to the plot of the story, but if you wish to read it, it is called(predictably enough) 'Prologue to Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat'

cheerleader Malfoy! What an amazing costume idea! you are truely warped-BRAVO.

And Sev still doesn't know he's a Griffindor? And Minerva Approves :-)

Wonderful Halloween. . . now back to our regularly scheaduled programing. . . aka the Troll has arrived.

looking forward to your next update!

Author's Response: LOL, thanks!! The next update is UP, so hope you like that, too. (LOL I was like panicked when I realized last night that I had posted the new chapter before responding to reviews. Whoops. :0) ) Thanks for the review!

Well, at least Severus finally realized that he really put his foot in things with the way he started off with Harry. He's right that it will take a herculean feat to earn that boys trust at this point. Maybe he could realize why he can't sleep in the Hospital wing and help? He is, after-all, a master spy who is supposed to notice things that others wouldn't. Surely he could see that the boy CAN'T sleep-instead of thinking he is refusing to. Add that to the fact that the "last time" he slept he was in a "protected" area and maybe he could come up with some solution.

    Wonderful chapter. I love Poppy!

    V.

Author's Response: That\'s an idea...I don\'t know yet :-) Thanks!! I like Poppy, too. I hadn\'t originally conceived of her as a major player in this but she seems to be turning into one.

OK, I understand Sev's need to discipline the child, but--for goodness sake-- he is a spy and a master an catching things everyone else misses, He really needs to put that to use and really figure out the boy. He should realize that excessive punishement is going to push the boy the other way. Now, I realize he may be thinking that if Harry spends that much time in his presence, that he will learn that Punishment does not equate beatings, but right now, I don't see that working very well--Harry is just as head strong as Sev and has less reason to back down.

Great update! Looking forward to the next.
    V

Author's Response: Thanks so much!! Yeah I\'m still not sure who to put my money on in this \"war\" - Snape\'s got the power, but Harry\'s got the pure stubbornness and bravado.
