    i'm enjoying the story, but i hope it picks up the pace soon. in what direction, i couldn't say. i know cancer is one of the main plot points but perhaps introducing more than so many technical details of the cancer treatment.

    What I like most about the story was Harry's disbelieve and fear that it'll all come crashing down during the first chapters after Snape backed off. Like it was a trick.

    Wreckless is spelled 'reckless'. It was driving me nuts reading the error.

    I'm really glad you updated, otherwise I would not have found this wonderful story.

    Your depiction of Percy is a gift. He was a hero and I'm happy at least one of the family knew that before he died.

    I feel like this is more like what DH should have been like. War is messy and makes for strange bedfellows. Hard decisions have to be made and things and allies change at a moments notice.

    Can't wait for more!

    Author's Response: I was always a little saddened by the original handling of Percy in the books.  He had so much more potential than we saw.  I'm glad you like my interpretation of him and his efforts during the war.

    I just found this story and I loved it! James really is a great father by not letting his bitterness affect Harry.

    I would love to read Severus's reaction and thoughts on the situation as well as the first weekend with him but the story is perfect the way it is.

    Yay! I'm super happy to see an update, but super bummed that this is the end. It seems a bit abrupt of an ending, but *shrugs shoulders* the story was mainly about Snape and Harry so it's a good place to end it I suppose. There are quite a few dangling issues that I'm curious about but us readers will have to fill those in ourselves I guess. Yes, I'm being sulky because I want more, ignore me ;-)

    A great story and I'm grateful for your hard work in creating and sharing this story with us fans. Thank you and Well Done!

    Wow! what is sad is that this is an outcome that is only too possible given canon snape's blind hatred of harry. i've always thought this sort of scenario is just another way to victimize the errrr victim. the only person who possibly gets anything out of this is the perpetrator. The victim gets nothing but more violence and a dismissal of the original assault is the eyes of everyone. the victim needs care, love and nurturing while healing and being emotional and physically vulnerable, not someone that they need to protect themselves from. this is not a criticism of your story, in fact i'm sad that it's been abandoned and wish that you would pick it up again and continue on.

    I love this patient-as-a-saint Snape. I can't wait for more, especially harry's truism's. As they get older, i can imagine hermione and harry having very frustrating yet amusing conversations. I wonder how Luna might react to Harry and vice-versa? I imagine she would be nothing but kind.
