So, when he feels that he can't cope with his life anymore, he finds comfort in a mysterious grand piano that appeared in an empty room. Two people hear him, Luna comes to sing with him, and when Severus sees hears him, he is impressed, and also notices some very surprising things.

Severus Snape is well aware that Harry Potter is his son, just as he is aware of the kind of care he receives at the Dursleys. He is also quite certain that the boy is far better off without him. Most of the time.

    When I found that you wrote a new story, I was absolutely thrilled. Ever since I read life as dictated, I have had so much respect for you as an author, and your work has definitely inspired me in my own writing. While this story obviously takes a different route, it does not disappoint. I especially appreciate how you portray Severus as flawed, but at the same time, trying his best to do right by his son. Blaise probably couldn't expect much, this time. Blaise was a Death Eater's kid, raised by, if not always Death Eaters, at least not blood traitors. Molly Weasley's soul was so clean it squeaked. It was a good thing Blaise had Snape to fall back on, for awhile. Mrs. Weasley was just too...not a Death Eater. Way, way too not a Death Eater to want to keep Blaise for very long.
