Draco-senpai and Chibi-Potter became somewhat of a parody (for those who know Hetalia: Spain the Boss and Chibi Romano) and inside joke between my sister and I. I am always the older and more sensible Slytherin "Draco-senpai", where as my sister is the cutesy klutz Hufflepuff "Potter". Little Chibi-Potter loves to follow his Slytherin-senpai around Hogwarts like a baby duck. 
 
I honestly did not realize how much I liked Severus until I began reading Harry Potter fanfiction on ff.net. I soon began to search for "Severus" stories when stumbled over Potions and Snitches. It felt as if I found my niche. 

I plan to maybe upload a work or two… but we will see how that goes…. (~.^) 

For those of you who visiting my page in search of something to read... All my favorites are wonderful and unique stories that I believe everyone should read. My reviews are all honorable mentions. Each I have read through and left my "footprint" so to speak so that I find them on a later date. They are definitely still recommendations to look into.

a respond to Spring Fic Fest! "What makes the little bastard think I don't care about him?"

That was the question that Severus Snape asked himself everyday since last week. The question that revolved around his son's latest temper tantrum since last week. And the same damn question that didn't leave him alone no matter what he did.
He even woke up with the thought swirling in his mind. What had he done to make Harry think he was being neglected?

    There are three thing I like about this work...
    1) It begins with an established relationship between Harry and Severus. You don't usually see a lot of those. It makes it something new.
    2) Harry's counting. I haven't seen it before in other people's work. I like reading originality. (plus it made my want to wrap the child in a blanket.)
    3) Harry wasn't magically cured from his insecurities. Because a lot of the "adoption" fics begin at, well, the beginning, I always feel like I'm left hanging at the end. How does their life look after all the events that took place? Everything's not a happily-ever-after, how could it be?
    But, yours had a good balance of the "beginning" (in chapter 2-how Harry came to being adopted by Severus) and the "aftermath", which should really be called the "continuation" (pretty much the rest of it).
    As for editing, here's a tip. "Dad" should be capitalized if it is used as a name or title, or anything like that. In Harry thinking process, any time he refers to Severus as "Dad", the "d" should be upper case. However, if Harry is referring to Severus as "his" dad, Dad is not capitalized.
    Examples: "Do you love me, Dad?" // "Harry wondered if his dad loved him."
    Hoped that tip helped you out.

    Author's Response: wow! thank you for the brilliant review ;) it warmed my heart. i'm really glad that you liked the plot and character establishment, i always try to trive for originality in my works and it often make me feel self_conscious so it made me happy. i'm also glad that even though the story was done in three chapters it left you feeling satisfied. yes, i actually do plan to continue this fic, perhaps just until the baby's born, because i still feel the conflict and tension between Harry and Jan even though they talked. thank you for the tip and i will edit them as soon as i get the time ;)

    My poor sweet, wayward children.
    Severus is an extremely critical man. He really is his own worst critic. He doesn't need someone to tell him he messed up. He's doing a horrendously fine job of that already!
    What he really needs is someone to whip him into shape, to help him push away his own demons to tackle those of his son. Enter, Janet! I know she won't let Severus wallow in this self-pitying mood for long!
    Severus needs to be strong. Strong not only for himself, but for Harry. As powerful and physically robust as Harry is, he needs someone with strength to help him through the emotional and mental pain.
    I really liked the insight we learned about Severus. Helping fend off Harry's insecurities helps him fend off his own. He's needed, he's WANTED. For the first time he matters. Harry, despite his difficulties, has helped heal Severus. The fact that Severus was comfortable enough to START a relationship with someone, speaks volumes.
    Until next time. I want to see Harry back in the world of the living soon. (~.^)
    By the way, these batteries... They must be faulty, because I'm still sitting in darkness.

    Author's Response: i completely agree though, Severus is a very critic man, i always saw him a self conscious person trying to maintain distance and remain stoic and bitter to save himself from the supposed blow and disappointment. harry was the best thing that has happened to him, the child brought him some light and hope and helped him to /feel/ instead of brooding his life away. janet is also similar to harry in that aspect, and that's why Sev is so attracted to her in the first place. i am really excited for the next chapter since i actually get to write sev as his formal self, a badass firm parent who stands his ground no matter what, he has the incentive he needs right now and nothing can stop him from achieving his goal. next chapter will mostly concern Harry and the potters (not in the past) so don't worry, he'll be up and about pretty soon. i'm sorry about the batteries, i'm sending candles and a match box. they'll last longer. have fun for a few days ;)

    Thought of this song when I was reading! It the sweetest song, look it up!
    I find myself more willing to take Harry's side of the argument, but I'm a little bias (and proud of it). It was a little sad the Janet was being insensitive about Harry being "abnormal". I wonder if it is because Harry's backstory hasn't been revealed to her. Is Severus holding that back because he thinks Harry should choose to let her know?

    Author's Response: my goodness! i just listened to that song and wow... i actually wrote the next chapter with it, it was very sweet indeed, i recommend you listen to it again while reading the next chapter too! and i think you're on the right track concerning Harry, i never doubted his instincts(wink, wink) all of your questions are about to be revealed in the next chapters so stay tuned cause i'm writing like mad and i don't even know how! ;D
