Dumbledore is reaching the end of his time and needs to ensure someone will take care of Harry after the headmaster is gone. An incident in the Forbidden Forest where Snape must care for an injured Harry without using magic sets in motion far reaching changes in their lives and in the magical world.

A prophecy is only real when allowed to occur naturally, so when a series of unexpected events happen in the summer before 5th year, a second prophecy long lost deep in the Ministry of Magic awakens, telling of rare magic and an incredible bond to be forged between the most unlikely people. His summer before 6th year is unlike any other as he trains alongside the Order, grows close to Severus Snape, of all people, and learns of an unfathomable fate assigned to one Draco Malfoy, a fate he is determined to stop. As the world falls apart, it seems Harry's life may finally come together.
